MoonCal for BlackBerry Smartphones

Visualize the phase of the moon and know the upcoming lunar calendar

MoonCal, a program for the BlackBerry® Smartphone, allows you to view the lunar phase for any given date in graphical form; it also shows the name of the current phase and presents a table of the upcoming phases for the next month. Optionally, MoonCal can also calculate equinoxes and solstices for the next year, and the upcoming Chinese New Year, and associated information. MoonCal includes the following features:

• Presents the Lunar phase in graphic form
• Presents the name of the current lunar phase

• Calculates a table of the lunar phases for the year
• Calculates the next year of equinox and solstice dates
• Identifies Blue Moons
• Updates the HomeScreen icon to represent the current lunar phase

• Choose to present phase, equinox and solstice times in UTC or local timezone
• Choose to present Chinese New Year date in China timezone, UTC or local timezone
• Works independently of cellular data networks

MoonCal is currently at Version 1.4.3

For your convenience, there is an OTA download for the 8100, 8200, 8300, 8700, 8800, 8900, 9000 or 9600 series BlackBerry smartphones. A Desktop download is also available.

Smartphone System Requirements:

• OS 4.2.1 or higher

There is also an OTA download specifically for the BlackBerry Storm or Storm 2, and Desktop download for the Storm running device OS 4.7.x.x, or Storm 2 running 5.0.x.x. (the 4.7 version will work with the 5.0 operating system).

Don't forget to provide the PIN number for your BlackBerry smartphone in the "Instructions to Merchant". Your BlackBerry PIN is an eight digit hexadecimal number, such as: 32b1f483.
Use Alt+Cap+H to find your PIN number if you don't already know it.
